Chanbe assembly by-election result: Apna Dal’s Rinki Kol won by more than 9 thousand votes

Lucknow: The counting of votes for the by-elections for two assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh is over. After Shafiq Ansari, the alliance candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party and Apna Dal SK won in Rampur’s Swar, Apna Dal S has registered a strong victory by 9589 votes in Chanbe assembly seat of Mirzapur. In the beginning there was a tough fight between Apna Dal (S) and Samajwadi Party. But after the 15th round, Apna Dal (S) candidate Rinki Kol started the process of taking lead over Kirti Kol of SP, which continued till the end.

In fact, the Chanbe seat fell vacant due to the demise of Rahul Kaul, MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party’s ally Apna Dal (Sonelal). In Ace, the party had fielded Rinki Kol, wife of late MLA Rahul Prakash Kol, on this seat. Whereas Samajwadi Party had made Kirti Kol a candidate. While the Congress had staked claim on Ajay Kumar.
