A state in Eastern India: Liquor Prohibition Police of Patna and Bachwada police station jointly raided two different places of the police station area on Wednesday night and recovered a cargo pickup loaded with foreign liquor and a motorcycle including a Maruti car. At the same time, three persons involved in illegal liquor business were arrested. The arrested person has been identified as goods pickup driver Shrikant Kumar, a resident of Chakai in Jamui district, Utpalkant Kumar, a resident of Patori in Samastipur district as a liner and Shishupal Sahni, a resident of Bharol village of Rudauli panchayat of Bachwada police station area along with Maruti. On the other hand, four businessmen involved in illegal liquor business managed to escape by taking advantage of the darkness.

Regarding the matter, Teghra DSP Dr. Ravindra Mohan Prasad said that on the basis of secret information, the police of Prohibition Department, Patna and Bachwada police station jointly raided the road going from Gupta Dam to Rupsawaj village in Dadupur Panchayat and picked up a cargo without number plate. Seized the cargo pickup vehicle while chasing after seeing the vehicle going. Along with the two people riding in the cargo pickup were arrested. During checking, 51 cartons of 750 ml, 222 cartons of 375 ml and 28 cartons of 180 ml of Odisha State Made Maduval Company were recovered from 301 cartons covered with rotten pomegranate on the cargo pickup vehicle.

On the other hand, the police of Bachwada police station raided on the banks of the Salempur Balan river after a secret information and arrested a liquor dealer along with a Maruti car. During the investigation, two cartons of black dot 180 ml foreign liquor were recovered from the Maruti car, while a motorcycle used in the liquor business was also seized. The three arrested liquor traders are being interrogated. Soon other businessmen involved in liquor business will be identified and arrested. Let it be said that from time to time, the local police, Prohibition Department and the team of Production Department are continuously raiding to implement prohibition in the area. Despite this, the illegal liquor traders are not backing down in unloading the consignment of foreign liquor in the dark of night.
