New Delhi, May 11 (Hindustan Times). On National Technology Day on Thursday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh recalled the Pokhran nuclear tests that took place 25 years ago, saying that these tests gave a message to the world that India believes in ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and ‘Ahimsa Parmo Dharma’, so no also does not harm the sovereignty, integrity and unity of the country. He called for optimum utilization of the country’s powerful human resource to make India strong, prosperous and self-reliant.

Raksha Mantri was addressing the event marking the National Technology Day 2023, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in New Delhi today. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for several scientific projects worth over Rs 5,800 crore and released a commemorative stamp and coin on the 25th National Technology Day. The Defense Minister said that India deeply appreciates the extraordinary scientists who contributed to the 1998 Pokhran test. Today we also remember the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his extraordinary political will and leadership in making these tests a success.

Rajnath Singh said that India has not only wished for peace for itself, but has given a message to the world. Visionaries like Lord Buddha and Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi are India’s gift to the world. We have never invaded or enslaved any country. Pokhran test sent a message that we will give a befitting reply to every step taken against our dignity. Rajnath Singh described National Technology Day as an inspiration to adopt a scientific approach. Underlining the importance of science in the progress of a nation, he described it as a source of strength. He emphasized that the scientific approach motivates the youth to contribute towards nation building and ensure overall development.

The Defense Minister said that India has a powerful human resource, which has guided it to a respectable position on the world stage. He called for optimum utilization of this human resource to achieve the goal of a strong, prosperous and developed India. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we are moving forward with the resolve of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan and Jai Anusandhan. Our stature has grown on the global stage and the world is seeing a new ray of hope in India. We will be successful in realizing our vision of building a strong and self-reliant ‘New India’.

On this occasion, a grand expo has been organized in Hall No. 5 and 4 of Pragati Maidan, in which departments like Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, DST, DRDO, DOS, DAE, CSIR, DBT, MoES, DOT, MeitY, AICTE and DPIIT participate. are taking The DRDO Pavilion showcased more than 30 DRDO laboratories, five DRDO Young Scientist Laboratories (DYSL), Technology Development Fund (TDF), DRDO Industry Academy-Center of Excellence (DIA-COE) and a range of indigenous BrahMos.
