Government employees in Gujarat have been informed to use Reliance Jio numbers instead of Vodafone and Idea, which till now used government mobile numbers. According to the government circular, Jio’s CUG plan can be availed at a monthly rental of Rs 37.50. There will be free calling and 3000 SMS to any mobile operator or landline, after which 50 paise per SMS will be charged. Apart from this, Rs 1.25 will be charged for international SMS.

Now Reliance Jio will run on thousands of state government mobile phones. The number of government employees will not change but their company will change. The state government has issued a circular ordering changes in all offices with immediate effect. The reason behind changing the age-old mobile company has not been revealed yet. But due to the circular of changing the company, an atmosphere has been created in the government offices.
Mobile number will remain same but company will change
State government employees in Gujarat were using postpaid mobile numbers of private companies Vodafone and Idea. But the state government has suddenly issued a circular and ordered to change the company with immediate effect. The government has tied up with Jio, under which state government employees will now use Jio SIM. Although for this they will do mega portability and the mobile numbers of the employees across the state will remain the same but their company will change.
How to use Jio plan
According to the agreement with Reliance Jio, government employees will get 30 GB 4G data every month. However, to add employees to the plan, Rs 25 will have to be spent. Apart from this, if you want to use 60 GB 4G data, then you will have to add a plan of 62.50. If you want to take 4G unlimited data plan then employees have to add 125 plan every month. Employees will have to spend Rs 25 to use Jio’s 30 GB 5G data. If you want to use 60 GB 5G data, then you have to add the plan of 62.50. 125 per month will have to be spent to access the unlimited 5G data.
