Amrit Awasotsav will be held in Gandhinagar on May 12 in the presence of Prime Minister

Gandhinagar / Ahmedabad, May 9 (Hindustan). Amrit Awasotsav will be celebrated at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on May 12 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. For the beneficiaries of Modi Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban and Rural), more than 42 thousand houses will be inaugurated, Bhumi Pujan and Griha Pravesh will be done. About Rs 1946 crore will be spent on these houses. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Agriculture and Rural Housing Minister Raghavji Patel and other ministers will also be present in this Amrit Awasotsav programme.

According to the information, under PM Awas Yojana Urban, 7113 houses will be inaugurated, Bhumi Pujan of 4331 houses and house warming will be done in 18,997 houses. Apart from this, 12 thousand houses will be inaugurated in 3740 villages of 232 tehsils under PM Awas Yojana Gramin. In this way, under the PM Awas Yojana, 42,441 houses will be inaugurated, Bhoomipujan and Griha Pravesh will be done with a total expenditure of Rs 1946 crore. In the program, 7 beneficiaries of the urban and rural scheme will be given the keys to their houses. Prime Minister Modi will also interact virtually with other beneficiaries across the state. A brief film on PM Awas Yojana Urban and Rural will also be screened during the programme.

7000 beneficiaries directly and thousands of people will be connected virtually

In the Awasotsav, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the main program organized at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. A total of 7000 beneficiaries including 4000 from urban areas and 3000 from rural areas will be present in this program of the Prime Minister. In this program of the Prime Minister, the beneficiaries of the cities, municipalities and villages of the state will be involved virtually. Live telecast of the program will be done through connectivity through BISAG at around 3900 project sites (urban and rural). All these places will be decorated with Toran-Rangoli, flowers. Along with women’s Kalasavidhi and worship, local folk songs and folk dances will also be organized. In this program, citizens will take oath for environment-friendly lifestyle. Dignitaries like MP, MLA, Mayor, former TP, DP member chief etc. will also be present at the program sites. It is noteworthy that under the PM Awas Yojana, the construction work of 11.56 lakh houses has been completed so far in Gujarat. This includes more than 7.50 lakh houses in urban areas and 4.06 lakh houses in villages.
