Surat has now become a shooting destination. Last week Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao came to Surat for the shoot, now another Hindi film has been shot at Surat airport. Well-known Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh shot the film ‘Hisab Barabar’ here. The bomb placement and hijacking scene were filmed in the arrivals area of the terminal building. The shooting was done late at night with the prior approval of the Airports Authority of India.
Shooting in the arrival area of the airport terminal building
Since there is no other flight movement at Surat airport for hours after 5 pm, Bollywood turned its attention to Surat airport to shoot the film at the airport. A scene was shot on Neil Nitin Mukesh with a pile of luggage bags in a part of the arrival area of the terminal building of Surat airport. Instead of bringing a large entourage of supporting actors and shooting staff, 30 to 40 artistes from Surat’s Gujarati Rangbhoomi were given the chance to act opposite Neil.
Shooting went on all night at Surat airport
Sources said a scene was shot in the terminal building of the bomb disposal squad searching for bombs in bags, trying to foil the plan to hijack the plane. The airport authority had given permission to shoot the film from 5 pm to 5 am.
Surat artists have also acted in the film.
The actors from Surat have played the roles of CISF and Bomb Disposal Squad personnel in the film. The film ‘Hisab Barabar’ is being directed by Ashwin Dheer. The star cast of the film includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Madhavan, Kirti Kulhari and actress Rashmi Desai. Rashmi is a resident of Navsari. Passengers of Bengaluru flight that left Surat airport at night were surprised to see Neil Nitin Mukesh shooting at Surat airport. Neil Nitin Mukesh also posed for pictures with the passengers, co-stars, airport staff during the break from the shoot. The shooting of this film went on all night.
Jhanvi Kapoor and Rajkumar also came to Surat for the shoot.
Last weekend, young heartthrob film star Janhvi Kapoor and ‘Stree’ film fame Rajkumar Rao secretly shot in Surat. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and directed by Sharan Sharma, the film ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ was shot at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium run by the Surat District Cricket Association.
