The goods train of entire western India will be operated from the control room. This control room has been made to work 24 hours. This center will give speed to goods trains. It will also take care of accident prevention and other safety matters.
The Central Railway Ministry has set up Asia’s most modern command control room at Sabarmati in Ahmedabad. This DFCCIL Control Room is built near Railway Colony. All Western India goods trains will be operated from the control room. This control room has been made to work 24 hours. This center will give speed to goods trains. It will also take care of accident prevention and other safety matters.
The center is equipped with a 70 meter long video wall in the control room. The goods train will be managed from one place through the control room. Goods trains will now run uninterrupted. There will also be a link with the Eastern Corridor. The entire center is spread over 3 acres. Earlier it used to take three days for the goods train to reach Mumbai from Delhi, now it will reach in a day.
Freight will increase from 1500 million tonnes to 3000 million tonnes in the next five years. Will set up Multi Logistics Park at Vadodara, Sanand, Delhi with Container Corporation. Union Railway Minister can start the control room soon.
