Qatar Airways launches Safety and Security Week 2023

Qatar Airways launched the “Safety and Security Week 2023”, which witnesses a multifaceted interest and focus across the group with the aim of maintaining the application of the highest standards of security and safety in the work environment. In addition to the launch ceremony of the initiative, various activities and events will be held throughout the week with the participation of the Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of Civil Defense, the General Directorate for Drug Control, the Rescue Police Department (Al-Fazaa), the Traffic Awareness Department, the Community Police Department, the Police Dogs Department, the Police Department Combating electronic and economic crimes, and managing criminal investigations. In view of the importance of including the education and training components, many of the participating entities, including Oryx International School, Karwa Mowasalat Academy, Hamad International Training Center of Hamad Medical Corporation, and the Tobacco Control Center, will provide workshops to provide knowledge and experience to visitors in this field.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, who officially inaugurated the event, said: “Safety and security in the aviation sector must be based on the highest standards anytime and anywhere, and we are well aware of the consequences of poor safety and security, which can have A negative and profound impact on travelers and on the aviation sector and the global economy as a whole. It is very important that we work together to ensure the safety and security of our passengers and customers, while they travel and in the countries they travel to.”
