The SANS Training Institute for Cybersecurity, the world leader in training and accreditation, has announced its next training program, “Sans Doha May 2023”, which will be held from May 27 to June 1. The courses offered within the program provide participants with a comprehensive set of skills to respond to events in cloud and traditional systems, as well as the strategies needed to defend industrial control system environments in the face of emerging cyber threats.
It is noteworthy that the cybersecurity sector in Qatar has witnessed tremendous prosperity, as it is estimated that the value of the cybersecurity market in the country amounted to $1,016.7 million in 2022 and is expected to grow by 12.7% annually to reach $1,642.3 million by 2026. To support this growth, Since its establishment in 2021, the National Agency for Cybersecurity in Qatar has been keen to strengthen the country’s legal framework with the aim of establishing cybersecurity priorities, ensuring that government employees receive continuous training in the field, and working with information technology stakeholders to improve the country’s ability to withstand cyberattacks. The Qatari government has also been proactive in securing its IT infrastructure, by dealing with threats and defense systems in advance.
Ned Baltaji, Executive Director Middle East, Africa and Turkey at SANS Cybersecurity Training Institute, said: “Our efforts at SANS are in line with Qatar’s Vision 2030, which aims to create a digital society that enjoys cybersecurity. Given the prevalence of cloud security on a daily basis, it is imperative that modern physical and cloud systems be designed to prevent intrusion and implement best practices in detection and response. The method of managing events to reduce the losses resulting from them will determine whether your organization will suffer heavy losses due to a data breach, and the “Sans Doha May 2023” program will allow participating professionals to see the mindset of the attacker, understand his tactical style, and use these visuals to anticipate his movements and strengthen the defenses in their organizations.
The “Sans Doha May 2023” program includes two training courses led by experienced and certified experts.
