A few days back a housing society in Surat’s Katargam area was vandalized in the name of club house. The residents of the society broke the wall of the club house and the builders again started the construction of this wall. The situation turned tense on Tuesday morning again as residents staged a sit-in at the society and raised slogans against the builder. The residents of the society say that the place where the builders have built the club house belongs to our society. On the other hand, the builder says that as per the rules, the society has been given their COP site, this site is ours and we have been paying tax for 14 years.
Lakshmi Residency, located in Katargam area of Surat city, has been witnessing a dispute between the builder and the residents of the society over the name of the club house for some time now. The residents of the society have alleged that the builder had promised to give the club house before the sale, but the builder has given the club house on rent. Recently, the people of the society together broke the wall of the health club, due to which there was a lot of uproar.
After this, when the builders started the construction of the recently broken wall, people gathered and created a ruckus. The residents of the society allege that instead of providing the facility of the club house, the entire club house has been leased by the builders to some other person, due to which the residents of the society are not getting any facility of this club house. However, the local people also demanded that the builder should provide club house facilities for the residents of the society.
On Tuesday, the people of the society unitedly created ruckus and raised slogans against the builder. However, on the other hand, builder Chunni Gajera says that the people of the society have been given space in the common plot as per the rules. The premises which the people of the society are calling disputed, is ours and we have been paying tax for the last 14 years and we have given the premises on rent. Society people are making false claims. In this way the dispute is increasing due to which the residents of the society and the builder have come face to face.
