The book written by Sharad Pawar was being released at YB Chavan Auditorium on Tuesday. On this occasion, after Sharad Pawar’s announcement, the whole hall was stunned. Sharad Pawar said in the presidential speech of his book release program that it is necessary to consider stopping somewhere in public life. Therefore, I have decided to retire from the post of Nationalist Congress Party President. He said that since the formation of NCP in 1999, I have been working as the President of NCP for the last 24 years. This whole journey started in public life from May 1, 1960 and is going on continuously for the last 63 years.

He said that in these 56 years, I have been working continuously as a member of one or the other house or as a minister. The next 3 years are left for the membership of Rajya Sabha. During this period, I will concentrate more on the affairs of the state and the country, apart from this I will not take any other responsibility. He said that I intend to do more work in the field of education, agriculture, cooperation, sports, culture. Also I will focus on the issues of youth, student organizations, workers, dalits, tribals and other weaker sections of the society.

Following Sharad Pawar’s announcement, NCP leaders including Chhagan Bhujbal, Jitendra Awhad and Dilip Walse Patil said, “We are not ready to accept your decision to resign as NCP president. We want you to act on your decision.” reconsider.”
