Finance ministers of South Korea, China and Japan, during their meeting held today, pledged to strengthen trilateral cooperation for economic recovery.
The South Korean Ministry of Finance said that the finance ministers and central bank governors from South Korea, China and Japan agreed, during the meeting, on the importance of tripartite cooperation for a rapid and sustainable economic recovery in overcoming the Corona pandemic (Covid-19), noting at the same time that Weak economic relations in the trade of goods and services, despite the existence of close economic relations between the three countries.
This meeting, which is the first face-to-face meeting in 4 years due to the coronavirus pandemic, comes on the sidelines of the 56th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank’s Board of Governors, which opened today in Songdo.
The three countries account for more than 20% of the global economy, and also about 80% in the ASEAN region plus 3 countries (Association of Southeast Asian Nations, South Korea, China and Japan).
