Soon tourists coming to Kashi will be able to travel to Vindhyachal and Prayagraj only by cruise. To give flight to tourism, now traveling from Varanasi to Prayagraj will be possible along with Ganga Darshan. After Alaknanda, three more cruises are ready to ride on the waves of Ganga. For this, one cruise is being prepared for operation from Varanasi to Chunar, the other from Varanasi to Vindhyachal and the third from Varanasi to Prayagraj. In view of the convenience of the tourists, the Water Transport Department has decided to land three ships at the same time. Both the double-decker cruise and the RORO (Roll on Roll Passenger Shift) from the Indian Waterways Authority will be used as a circuit for religious tourism. The Inland Waterways Authority of India has given two ro-roes to Banaras. The name of one Ro-Ro is Vivekananda and the name of the other Ro-Ro is Sam Manekshan.

Similarly, the state government has called for a two-storey cruise to speed up the tourism of Varanasi. Now Ro-Ro will be operated from Varanasi to Prayagraj and Vindhyachal. While the cruise received from the Public Works Department will be operated from Kaithi Mahadev to Chunar.

Ro-Ro will run smoothly in one meter depth

The interior decoration of the two-storey cruise depicts the religious and spiritual scene of Kashi as well as the history of the heritage here. Along with this, a big screen has been installed to give information to the tourists. This cruise can run smoothly even in one meter deep water at a speed of 12 to 15 kilometers. Along with this, it has four live rafts for proper security arrangements in the cruise, which in case of emergency will automatically open in the river and become a floating tent shaped boat.

Ro-Ro will take a tour of Vindhya region

Ro-Ro with a capacity of 200 tourists is planned to run on two different routes. In this, preparations are on to run one ro-ro from Khidkiya Ghat to Vindhyachal and the other from Khidkiya Ghat to Prayagraj. Both trucks can load cars and bikes in Ro Ro. Its speed will be 6 to 7 km upstream and 12 to 13 km downstream. Although churning is being done on its route and for this a plan is also being made to remove the hurdle of jetty construction etc.

Plan to connect Shiv-Shakti-Sangam through water transport

Vikas Malviya, director of Alaknand Cruise Line, told that the route etc. is being decided for the operation of cruise and ro-ro. There is a plan to connect Vindhyachal and Prayagraj through water transport. Soon one cruise and two Ro-Ros will be operated from Kashi to Chunar, Vindhyachal and Prayagraj in Ganga. If everything goes well, soon Shiv-Shakti-Sangam will present a new example in front of the world in the direction of water transport.
