Gujarat: Five new nursing colleges will be established in the state, approval given in the meeting of the Union Cabinet

The Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the establishment of 157 new Nursing Colleges across the country. Under which five new nursing colleges have also been approved in Gujarat.

Five new nursing colleges will be established in Gujarat. In the meeting of the Union Cabinet, the establishment of 157 new Nursing Colleges has been approved in the country. Under which five new nursing colleges have also been approved in Gujarat. New Nursing Colleges will be started in Navsari, Porbandar, Godhra, Rajpipla and Morbi in Gujarat. A new Nursing College will be set up in the GMERS Medical College campus. 100 seats of B.Sc Nursing will be available in each nursing college.

Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel said that a total of 500 seats will be increased in nursing in the state. Nursing colleges will strengthen the health, education and treatment system. Presently 440 seats of B.Sc Nursing are available in 8 government nursing colleges of the state. The Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the establishment of 157 new Nursing Colleges across the country. This new medical college will be built across the country at a cost of 1570 crores. Under which 15,700 nursing graduates will be included.

Giving information in this context, State Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel said that Gujarat has also got the gift of five new nursing colleges. In which five new nursing colleges are to be set up in Navsari, Porbandar, Godhra, Rajpipla and Morbi GMERS Medical College campus. Every Nursing College has B.Sc. 100 Nursing seats will be available. A total of 500 nursing seats will be increased in the state. He further said that an estimated Rs. 10 crores have been allocated to the state government. For the first time establishment of Nursing College has been covered under Central Award Scheme. The minister said that with the addition of these five new nursing colleges, the health education and treatment systems of the state would be strengthened. It is notable that at present 440 seats of B.Sc Nursing are available in 8 government nursing colleges of the state.
