A fire broke out late night at the gardener’s shop at the legendary Ambaji temple in the old city of Kot area of Surat. There was a stampede in the area after the incident. After informing the fire department about the incident, the fire department reached the spot late in the night and brought the fire under control. All the puja items kept in the shop were destroyed in the fire. Fortunately, there was no casualty in this incident.

200 year old temple

Three fire brigade teams reached the spot
According to the information received from the fire department, the fire department got a call late night that the Ambaji temple was on fire. On receiving information about the fire in the temple, three fire brigade teams from Ghanchi Sheri, Navsari Bazar and Mughalisara reached the temple. More than six vehicles of the fire department reached the spot.
The local people also got involved in extinguishing the fire.
