New Delhi, 26 April (Hindustan Times). The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which is probing the incident in Air India’s Dubai-Delhi flight, has directed Air India to ground the entire crew till the probe is over. A complaint was lodged with the DGCA by a crew member on February 27 after a pilot’s female friend was taken into the cockpit during a Dubai-Delhi flight.
A DGCA official said on Wednesday that prima facie no role of the cabin-crew is visible in this matter, but the service of the entire crew of this flight will be suspended till the completion of the investigation. According to the official, the pilot related to the flight will be given a chance to present his case. He said that till a final decision is taken in this matter, the services of the pilot will also remain suspended.
The DGCA is probing the incident of allowing a pilot’s female friend into the cockpit during a Dubai-Delhi flight of Tata-led Air India.
