Bhavnagar dummy scandal: Talaja Tehsil Panchayat member’s son arrested

Bhavnagar / Ahmedabad, 26 April (Hindustan Times). The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Bhavnagar dummy case is in action mode. The son, a member of Talaja Tehsil of Bhavnagar district, has been arrested on Wednesday. A day before on Tuesday, the son of Sarpanch of Bhalar village was caught by the police. After political involvement in the matter, this matter has started coming in the limelight even more.

So far 23 people have been arrested in connection with the use of dummy candidates in competitive examinations for government jobs. After apprehending the son of a member of Talaja Tehsil Panchayat of the district, the police is interrogating him. Apart from this, Chandradeep Chauhan, son of Tehsil Panchayat member Bharat Chauhan was caught a day earlier on Tuesday. Chandradeep’s mother is also the sarpanch of Bhalar village. In the year 2022, he gave the MPHW exam by sitting a dummy candidate. In the matter, Bhavnagar SP constituted a SIT headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police RR Singhal and handed over the investigation.

Accused Ghanshyam Ladhwani’s health deteriorated

The accused Ghanshyam Ladhwani, who was arrested in the case, has been admitted to the civil hospital in Bhavnagar city due to high blood pressure. It was told that his health had started deteriorating since late night. After this, he has been taken to the civil hospital for treatment. He was treated in ICU. Later, when the condition improved, he was kept in the Prisoner Ward.

Police will seek remand of Yuvraj’s second brother-in-law

The police will seek remand of the second brother-in-law of Yuvraj Singh, accused of demanding a ransom of Rs 1 crore for not disclosing the names of the two accused in the Bhavnagar dummy case. In the second year, the police recovered Rs 25.50 lakh at the instance of Shivubha. Shivbha had hidden this amount at his friend’s place. Earlier, Rs 38 lakh was recovered from Yuvraj’s first brother-in-law Kanbha’s house. So far the police have seized Rs 73.5 lakh. It was told that Yuvraj had collected Rs 1 crore from both of them for not disclosing the names of the two accused. This amount was hidden by the accused at the house of different friends for two years. Yuvraj’s brother-in-law Shivubha Gohil surrendered at Bhavnagar Neelambagh police station.
