Sriharikota, 22 April (Hindustan). Another success has been registered in the name of Indian Space Research Organization ie ISRO. PSLV-C55 rocket from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh successfully placed two satellites TELEOS-2 and Lumilite-4 of Singapore in the Earth’s orbit on Saturday afternoon at 2.19 minutes.
Its countdown started on Friday afternoon. Its information was shared on Twitter by ISRO, which said that on Saturday, PSLV rocket PSLV-C55 from Sriharikota will send Singapore’s 741 kg satellite TELEOS-2 and 16 kg Lumilite-4 satellite into orbit.
TELEOS-2 is a radar satellite built by the Defense Science and Technology Agency of Singapore. This will give accurate weather information day and night. The second, Lumilite-4, is a more advanced satellite developed to demonstrate a high frequency data exchange system. Singapore’s e-navigation has been designed to promote maritime safety and benefit the global shipping community.
