Assam-Arunachal border dispute will end, MoU will be done in Shah’s presence

New Delhi, 20 April (Hindustan). The issue of border dispute between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, which has been going on for years, is now going to be resolved. Representatives of both the states will sign an MoU on Thursday in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The Union Home Ministry has informed about this today.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, representatives of both the states will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at North Block today at 5 pm in the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah.

It is noteworthy that the Assam cabinet has taken a decision on Wednesday to resolve the issue of border dispute with Arunachal Pradesh going on for decades. The recommendations given by the 12 zonal committees constituted by the state government were approved by the state government on Wednesday. After that today the representatives of both the states will sign the MoU in the presence of the Union Home Minister.
