Scrap withdrawal devices – Al-Eidiya – witnessed a great turnout from citizens and residents, in commercial complexes in which the Qatar Central Bank announced the availability of this service. Large numbers of people flocked to the withdrawal points in long lines, as the Central Qatar instructed the banks to provide the ATMs at the withdrawal points with the necessary liquidity from scrap, to meet the needs of individuals from Eidiya before Eid Al-Fitr.
For its part, the Qatar Central Bank decided to launch the Al-Eidiah ATM service “Eid scrap” in the old Al-Wakra market, in addition to the presence of the Al-Eidiah ATM in Qatar Mall and Place Vendome Mall, and from today, Sunday, the service will be available in Al-Mirqab Mall.
The withdrawals of individuals varied between the categories available from the Eidiya, as a large number were keen to withdraw the different categories, which included 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 riyals, in order to meet the needs of families of young people and children, as small categories are distributed to children, while large categories are distributed from 50 and 100 riyals on youth.
A number of individuals praised the central decision to provide Eid scrap service in a number of commercial complexes and markets, and called for expanding this service to include all regions of the country, especially places far from Doha, such as Al Khor, Dukhan, Mesaieed and other remote cities.
They emphasized that the presence of the service in most regions of the country saves effort and time for families, especially in light of the crowded markets during these seasons, and waiting for large numbers of people in banks to get Eid scrap.
A number of individuals said that Qatar Central interacted with the festive season by providing this new service as a revival of the traditional customs and traditions that exist in the community, which everyone is keen on, as it gives joy and pleasure to the members of society, especially children and youth.
The Qatar Central Bank had announced the provision of Al-Eidiya cashing service, “Eid scrap”, in a number of commercial complexes on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, and to revive Qatari customs and traditions.
Al-Eidiya ATM allows “Eid scrap” to withdraw cash categories with a value of: 5 riyals – 10 riyals – 50 – 100 riyals.
The specified ATMs are available for Eidiya withdrawals from last Thursday in Mall of Qatar, yesterday, Saturday, April 15th, in Place Vendome Mall, Monday, April 17th, in Al Wakra Old Market, and Tuesday, April 18th, in Mirqab Mall.
For its part, she called on banks to rely on alternative channels during the holidays, primarily mobile applications and bank websites to complete banking transactions, in order to save effort on customers and save time instead of attending the bank in person. Banks confirmed the provision of all the services they provide on alternative electronic channels, whether mobile applications for banks or banks’ websites, while taking all safe precautions to ensure the completion of banking operations without any risk, with speed in executing electronic customer requests.
