QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, has received an appreciation award for its long-term partnership from Visa, which highlights its distinguished role in developing and implementing innovative payment products in the market, as well as the fruitful cooperation between the two institutions in providing a successful edition of the FIFA World Cup.

During the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, QNB and Visa actively launched a number of innovative payment products, including nearly 5,500 contactless payment machines in private facilities including stadiums, fan areas and other payment points, and about 90% of transactions were processed using contactless payment technology. Touch, which provided greater efficiency and a seamless payments experience for both residents and visitors during the tournament.
