India calls deaths in Myanmar army attack ‘disturbing’

New Delhi, 13 April (His). The Ministry of External Affairs has described as disturbing the news of the deaths of the army in the attack on the program organized in protest against the military rule in Myanmar on 11 April. India has called upon all parties to find a peaceful solution.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said in a weekly press conference that there have been disturbing reports of violence near Kambalu township in the Sagaing region of Myanmar. As a neighbor and friend of the people of Myanmar, India repeatedly calls upon all sides to stop violence and find a peaceful solution to all issues. India reiterates its call for peace, stability and return of democracy in Myanmar.

It is noteworthy that Myanmar’s army on Tuesday carried out airstrikes on a crowd of civilians gathered in a program against the military rule. According to media reports, more than 100 people have been killed in this attack.

Pakistan’s objection to the G-20 meeting in Jammu and Kashmir:

India has ignored Pakistan’s objection to holding the G-20 meeting in Jammu and Kashmir. In response to a question, Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that G-20 meetings are being held across the country. It is natural for such meetings to happen in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Both the regions are an integral and inseparable part of India.

China and Taiwan standoff:

In response to a question related to China’s encirclement of Taiwan in the name of war practice in the South China Sea, Bagchi said that India has been in favor of law and rule-based system. India is in favor of resolving all kinds of issues through dialogue to maintain peace and stability.

Action on Khalistani elements:

On the issue of action against Khalistani elements abroad, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs said that India wants continuous action against such hostile elements. There is no such thing as being satisfied in this. We want that such elements are identified, steps are taken against them and security of Indian premises and people is ensured. He said that we wanted to see action on the ground. India calls upon the host countries, including the UK, to take action against those who sabotaged our High Commission, identify them and take action against the perpetrators.

Participation in SCO Defense Foreign Meeting:

On the meeting of Defense and Foreign Ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to be held in India and the participation of the member countries in this, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs said that we send invitations to all. It keeps getting recommended. We expect every member to attend the meeting.
