The event is in its 14th edition and involved more than 700 volunteers from all over the country in the largest collection of food to support people in need.
Thanks to the generosity of thousands of donors, 39 tons of food were collected in one day.
These will be distributed by Diaconia and local partners through food packages around the Holy Easter Holidays and will become the hot lunches offered throughout the year to needy people at the Social Canteens.

Advertisement On this day we had sunshine and thousands of donors who answered the call of our volunteers. It was an exemplary mobilization of all those involved. The magnanimity of the people who donated and the solidarity shown by each individual give us confidence that we will have an answer and support for people in need. At this year’s edition, 24 communities joined our effort, and more than 700 volunteers were messengers of kindness on April 8. Part of the collected products will be distributed during this week to people in need. The rest of the products will be stored and will supply the Social Canteens throughout the year.

The campaign involved about 100 stores from 24 localities: Cantemir, Edineț, Soroca, Căușeni, Telenești, Stăuceni, Ungheni, Strășeni, Hîncești, Roșcani, Cricova, Cimișlia, Sîngerei, Dondușeni, Călărași, Peresecina, Orhei, Cania, Cahul, Leova, New Years.
Several public figures joined us and supported the campaign as volunteers: Andrei Porubin, Corina Dascălu, Sorina Obreja, but also companies, such as Maib and Ogilvy Moldova.

With 100 lei, you offer a hot lunch for a week to an elderly person;
With 400 lei you offer a hot lunch for a month to an old man;
With 3500 lei you provide a hot lunch for 175 elderly people.
As well as through payment terminals in all networks in the city: MMPS and QIWI.
