The awards ceremony supports the goals of the Center for Digital Trade and Innovation (C4DTI) and is held alongside the Digital Trade Conference (DTC) to bring together industry and government professionals and recognize corporate and individual excellence in terms of participants in offering a cheaper, faster and simpler trading system.
Granting the award is an affirmation of Gulf Warehousing’s success in providing pioneering logistics services during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, as it succeeded in prioritizing deliveries, reducing unplanned deliveries, and reducing bottlenecks and overcoming difficulties by implementing the Public Distribution Scheduling System (MDS). .
GWC took a holistic approach to overcoming the challenges and difficulties associated with the new system, by focusing on responsibility, accountability, compromise solutions and transparency.
Mr. Ranjeev Menon, Group CEO of Gulf Warehousing Company, said: “There are two very important elements to achieving a successful logistics delivery, which are technology and human capital. GWC has handled more than 15 million cans of beverages, 3.8 million items of linen, 1.8 million items of equipment, 200,000 hospitality tickets, 200,000 media kits and 193,000 items of equipment. . This is in addition to all tournament equipment, including kits, uniforms, and soccer balls. In addition, another major achievement of GWC was the transportation of food and beverages to a range of tournament sites. All of this was transported and delivered to and from eight stadiums, 32 training camps for national teams, two airports, two seaports, two media centers, nine fan zones, and other locations.
