“I Want” announced that it participated in the activities of the Garangao Night, which were held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings in various locations across Qatar.
In cooperation with Rafeeq, “I Want” presented Garangao gifts to children, and participated in a tour of distributing gifts to homes in residential neighborhoods near the Creek Corniche, as well as in the Bulhadan Museum in Al-Thakhira.
“I Want” also participated in the activities of Garangao Night at the Lusail Shooting Ranges Complex, where a number of activities were held, including the activities of the main stage, and sweets and gifts were distributed to children.
In Msheireb Downtown Doha, many events were held on the occasion of Garangao Night, and “I Want” was the exclusive communications partner for these events. As 500 bags of Garangao sweets were distributed daily at all stations of the Sekkat Al Wadi tram. A Garangao fashion show for children was also held at Sekkat Al Wadi.
“I Want” also participated in the Garangao activities on the Doha Corniche (Flags Square) on April 6, which included traditional hospitality activities, an art exhibition, a henna corner, and activities for children, such as coloring workshops for lanterns, pottery, and Sadu bracelets.
On this occasion, Sabah Rabia Al-Kuwari, Director of Public Relations Department at “I want” Qatar, said: “We were pleased to participate in the activities of the Garangao Night, and to share with children the joy and manifestations of joy on this occasion. Of course, we seek, through our participation, to revive this Qatari folklore and to be proud of our culture, heritage and traditions during the holy month of Ramadan. We were pleased to cooperate with our partners, support and sponsor many distinguished entertainment activities and events for families, and provide gifts and sweets to children.”
Garangao night is considered one of the most important popular Ramadan customs in Qatar and the Gulf society. It comes on the fifteenth night of Ramadan to celebrate the completion of half of the month of Ramadan. Children wear traditional costumes for this occasion, roam around their neighborhood, sing popular songs for this occasion, and receive gifts and bags of sweets.
