Roads will be cleaned with machines, air pollution will also decrease

Roads in Delhi will now be cleaned with machines. The government has decided to give the responsibility of cleaning them from mcd to pwd. The government has also approved the purchase of 70 mechanical road sweeping machines today. The roads of Delhi will now be shiny and air pollution will also come down.

Delhi’s PWD Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that PWD has about 1449 km long major roads (60 feet wide). Instead of MCD, now the PWD department of Delhi government will do their cleaning.

The Delhi government will buy 70 mechanical road sweeping machines for 70 constituencies. To reduce pollution, it has also been decided to buy 250 water sprinkling machines for 250 wards. There will be integrated anti smog guns with them. On top of this, an estimated expenditure of Rs 2,388 crore will be spent within 7 to 10 years. On top of this, the cost of the first year will come to 257 crores. They will be given 1500 kilo liters of water per day from the sewer treatment plant of Delhi Jal Board.

Trees on the streets of Delhi will be washed

There are a total of 250 wards in Delhi. In such a situation, sprinkling machine will be given in every ward. With these 250 anti-smog guns cum sprinklers, trees will be washed by planting them on both sides of the small streets and roads of Delhi. For this, the agency will be given a 10-year contract for washing pavements and roads and mechanical sweeping.

About 10,000 kiloliters of water will be needed daily to wash all the roads in Delhi. The water coming out of the Jalboard’s sewage treatment plant is currently discharged into the Yamuna, but now this water will be used to wash the roads.
