Registered at the end of 2022, the Premier Energy Foundation aims to support and protect the interests of children and young people throughout the country, covering their needs in the social, medical and educational fields.

Beneficiaries of the Foundation can become children up to 18 years old, if they meet the eligibility criteria and submit a request in this regard through the online platform www.fundaţiapremierenergy.md . One of the conditions for approving the application is the reference to a third person as a guarantor for the applicant (social worker, doctor, teacher or any other person, except first degree relatives), who will confirm the veracity of the case and the request addressed to the Premier Foundation Energy. The platform will be accessible to the general public in early April.

Any natural or legal person is encouraged to contribute and can become a donor to the Premier Energy Foundation. Each donation will reach 100% directly to the beneficiaries, as the administrative expenses will be fully covered by the founder.

High state officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps in our country, local public administrations, international and non-governmental organizations participated in the launch event.

Alexei Buzu, Minister of Labor and Social Protection: “The latest figures show that every fourth child in the Republic of Moldova grows up in poverty, every third child in rural areas is in poverty. Nothing would make me happier and prouder at the end of my mandate than to significantly reduce the poverty of children in the Republic of Moldova, that is my main mission as a minister. The fight against child poverty will be a complicated, difficult fight that will take time, but I am very glad that we have a partner and a new colleague on this difficult path, the Premier Energy Foundation. I really hope that we will find more ways to collaborate, to initiate important projects, projects with impact, so that indeed, both my legacy and the foundation’s legacy will be one that we can be proud of”.

Victor Parlicov, Minister of Energy: “One of the roles I proposed as a minister is to change the narrative regarding the energy sector, from a critical and scandalous one to a positive one. And what can be more appropriate and better to change the narrative and see this sector in a more attractive light than an effort of corporate social responsibility, which the companies in the sector do. And, I repeat, this is not a state decision, but a private initiative, it is a company, which, although it has been present on the market for a long time with other owners, look, we see that the new owner also has proposed to contribute to the positive image of the entire sector by providing support to children, talented children, of which we have many, many in this country. First of all, I want to thank the company, because it is an effort made from a private pocket, money through which someone decided to contribute to the well-being and support of talented children in the Republic of Moldova. We personally thank the founder and the owner and we hope that other companies will join this initiative. Why not, let’s create a kind of energy fund to support small talents with the competition of several institutions”.

Stanislav Kázecký, Ambassador of the Czech Republic: “I would like to thank the Premier Energy company for demonstrating that Czech capital is not capital that only deals with its own business, but is also interested in making social and socially responsible investments. I hope that the Premier Energy Foundation will have many years ahead, being helped by the Czech Republic, and I am very, very happy to have the privilege to talk about it”.

Jose Luis Gomez Pascual, country manager of Premier Energy in Moldova: “Premier Energy companies in Moldova have developed over the years several important projects in the field of education, culture and various social initiatives, energy efficiency and environmental protection, etc. – all this from the perspective of its corporate social responsibility policy. The activity of the Premier Energy Foundation will further strengthen this effort and, at the same time, bring about an essential change, the one that appeals to our human and solidarity side, that of supporting especially children, who must live their childhood happily and be able to hope for a better future”.

Jiri Kottas, chairman of the board of the Premier Energy Foundation: “Premier Energy Foundation has a sister foundation, Patron of Children, which was established in Prague in September 2017 by Mr. Jiří Šmejc. The story of the Czech foundation Patronul Copiilor is a successful one and we hope to build a similar story in the Republic of Moldova. It is important to state that the Premier Energy Foundation does not provide financial aid. Instead, it pays for services and purchases materials for its beneficiaries. I think that these are the strong points, thanks to which each individual case will be managed transparently and efficiently”.

The Premier Energy Foundation has already managed to help children with special needs, gifted children, but also those who are fighting a hard battle with a certain disease, and is still committed to being with children and young people in Moldova through emergency interventions and sustainable projects , being determined to create opportunities for them to live their dreams.
