At around 7:40 a.m., there was a road accident involving the trolleybus on route number 5, on the Muncești road, near the “Carmez Association” public transport waiting station, informs Regia Transport Electric Chisinau.
There were 3 passengers in the transport unit, none of them suffered. The line staff, conductor and trolleybus driver, however, required medical attention.
Following the impact, the police, the ambulance and the fire brigade were called to the scene.
It was preliminarily determined that the car was traveling in the opposite direction. The competent authorities are investigating the case.

Another tragic road accident happened on February 21, at around 16:45, on route R6 from Stăuceni. At the scene, the police established that an Opel driven by a 48-year-old driver rammed two cyclists, both 12 years old, who were properly equipped. A criminal case was initiated on the case, and the driver was detained for 72 hours. Three days later one of the minors died.
