Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation (MoSPI) is soon going to launch Sakshi web portal for digitization of MPLADS funds distribution system.
The web portal developed by the State Bank of India (SBI) is part of the revised guidelines, which are aimed at quick monitoring, enhancing transparency, accountability and approval of the Centre’s schemes.
The portal and guidelines are scheduled to come into effect from April 1.
A senior official said that the entire amount of Rs 5 crore will now be given to MPs in one lump sum at the beginning of the financial year, which was given in two half-yearly installments till now.
The official said, “The three stakeholders in the web portal are the Central Nodal Authority, the District Nodal Authority and the Member of Parliament. The amount given will be visible on the portal, which will mention the details of the project and the approval of the district nodal authority.
