Industrial cluster in three districts, IT MSME park including new scrap policy got green signal

Industrial clusters will be built on 213 acres of land in three districts of Uttar Pradesh. The Council of Ministers has given approval to bring the land lying unused for decades in Barabanki, Rae Bareli and Mau districts to industrial use. MSME and IT parks will be built on these lands. At the same time, the way for early body elections in the state has also been cleared.

The Council of Ministers has approved the recommendations made in the report of the commission constituted regarding reservation in civic body elections. Various works worth Rs 465 crore have also been approved to develop world-class infrastructure in Ayodhya in view of the increasing movement of tourists due to the construction of the Ram temple.

In the meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday, a proposal has been approved to take about 70 acres of land in Barabanki, 59 in Rae Bareli and more than 84 acres in Mau for industrial use.

Giving information, State Energy and Urban Development Minister AK Sharma said that IT park will be developed on 70 acres of land in Barabanki. Micro and small spinning mills were earlier established on this land, on which there is a liability of Rs 51.63 crore.

The State Government has waived off the liability of Rs 29.5 crore while Rs 22.14 crore will be repaid. Similarly, MSME parks will be set up on the land of closed mills in Rae Bareli and Mau. The state government will also pay the liability of these lands.

The Council of Ministers in its meeting has also approved the new scrap policy for the state. Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh said that vehicles older than 15 years will be destroyed by giving 50 percent exemption in taxes and penalties for scrapping. On the other hand, a one-time scrap scheme will be approved by giving 75 percent discount to vehicles older than 20 years.

The Council of Ministers has approved the recommendations of the Backward Classes Commission constituted regarding reservation in municipal elections in Uttar Pradesh. Urban Development Minister AK Sharma said that a notification was issued on last December 5 regarding the civic body elections. After this, some petitions were filed in the High Court, on which the court had ordered to investigate the process of reservation by forming a dedicated commission.

He told that the order of the High Court came on December 27, the very next day on December 28, the state government constituted a five-member ‘Uttar Pradesh State Local Bodies Dedicated Backward Classes Commission’ under the chairmanship of retired Justice Ram Avtar Singh. The commission was given six months time to submit its report. The Commission has submitted its report to the Chief Minister in less than half the time. This report has been accepted by the Council of Ministers. Now the pending body elections will be completed soon in the state.

The Council of Ministers has approved the proposal for large-scale infrastructure works in Ayodhya. Urban Development Minister Sharma said that it is proposed to inaugurate the grand and divine temple of Lord Ram in January next year, after which the inflow of tourists will increase.

The Council of Ministers has approved the proposal for world class infrastructure development in Ayodhya. For this, the government will spend a total amount of Rs 465 crore. In another proposal, the Council of Ministers has cleared the way for the opening of four private universities in the state. The private universities that have been approved on Friday include Varun Arjun University, Shahjahanpur, TS Mishra University, Lucknow, Farukh Hussain University, Agra and Vivek National University, Bijnor.

On Friday itself, while approving the new sports policy, the Council of Ministers has given green signal to set up Sports Development Authority on the lines of SAI in the state. A new agency has been selected to run the free ration distribution program in the state.

It has been decided to implement the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission of the Government of India in Uttar Pradesh as well. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that now a digital card will be made for every patient in the state, in which all medical and health-related information will be available along with his illness, previous investigations, ongoing medicines. This will facilitate the treatment of patients.
