Delhi gets 100 more new electric buses, soon to join DTC fleet

Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) will add 100 new electric buses to its fleet by the end of March or in the first week of April. Officials informed about this on Sunday.

With this, the number of electric buses with DTC will increase to 400.

Delhi Transport Commissioner Ashish Kundra had recently visited the Tata Motors plant in Lucknow to inspect the buses. Last month, DTC MD Shilpa Shinde went to Karnataka to see the prototype model of the bus.

An official said, “We will get 100 electric buses by the end of March or the first week of April. After that 200-250 buses will come every month.

DTC will add 1,500 new electric buses by the end of 2023, taking the total number to 1,800.
