Republican Party’s Indian-origin presidential contender Nikki Haley targeted President Joe Biden on Thursday over his annual budget proposals.
Haley said that this budget proposal is of socialist nature, which is “disastrous for America”. After presenting Biden’s 69 trillion budget, Haley said, “We should take people from the path of welfare to the path of work, but Joe Biden is insisting on welfare of the people without the need to work.” ”
Biden has introduced several social welfare measures in his annual budget and increased taxes on the rich. In an interview to ‘Fox News’, Haley said, “I think Biden is a very socialist president. He believes in spending everyone’s money. His answer to everything is to raise taxes.”
Responding to a question, he said, “We need to be realistic. We have a debt of US$ 31 trillion. We are borrowing money to pay the interest. This is not a sustainable solution. Washington DC has a spending problem that we need to end.”
Haley said, “Biden should have said first of all that we are going to withdraw the US $ 500 billion allocated to deal with Kovid-19 (global epidemic) which was not spent.”
“The second thing he should have said is that instead of going after innocent Americans, IRS (Internal Revenue Service) agents should go to the bottom of the $100 billion Covid scam and find the culprits,” he said.
