Yulia Paevskaya, better known as Tyra, activist of the banned in Russia “Right Sector”, received from the hands of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and the first lady of the country Jill Biden the international award “Courageous Women”, <a rel=”nofollow” href=”https://www.mk.ru/social/2023/03/09/blinken-i-dzhill-bayden-vruchili-ukrainke-tayre-premiyu-otvazhnye-zhenshhiny.html”>informs</a> “MK”. During the award, Taira’s activities during the siege of Mariupol, as well as her stay in Russian captivity, were especially noted.

According to the American and Ukrainian authorities, Tyra was a paramedic, but in Russia she is also considered a sniper of the nationalist armed groups. On March 16, 2022, she tried to leave the encircled Mariupol, but was detained, after which on June 17 she was exchanged for Russian servicemen who were captured by Ukrainians.
