The US Treasury announced on March 8 that certain subsidiaries of Sberbank were excluded from the sanctions list. This is reported on website departments.
According to the document, four subsidiaries of the Russian bank were withdrawn from the sanctions. All structures are registered in Kazakhstan.
Last year, immediately after the start of the Russian special operation, Washington imposed sanctions on a number of Russian companies with state participation or organizations important for the economy. The list included Sberbank, as well as its structures.
At that time, Sberbank repeatedly said that the sanctions would not affect the work of the financial and credit institution.
