Former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Colonel Douglas McGregor called on US President Joe Biden to agree to a peace agreement with Russia until the Russian army occupied Kyiv and reached the borders of Poland. He stated this in an interview with journalist Dan Ball, published on YouTube on March 7.
According to him, the United States underestimated Russia and is now “sitting, staring at the ongoing catastrophe.”
“This army, which we armed in Ukraine, has been destroyed. They lose thousands of people a day. This, roughly speaking, is a whole battalion, ”said McGregor.
He stressed that Washington, hoping to inflict damage on Russia, only achieved a weakening of NATO, damaged its own reputation, and now is forced to admit a mistake and come to an agreement with the Russian Federation.
“If we do not do this, what will stop the Russians from forcing the Dnieper, occupying Kyiv and reaching the border of Poland? Nothing,” summed up the former adviser to the head of the Pentagon.
The day before, March 7, McGregor said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky gave the collective West a distress signal due to the plight of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) on the front line. So, he pointed to the huge losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the battles for Artemivsk (the Ukrainian name is Bakhmut).
The day before, Zelensky said that the battle for Artemivsk was one of the most difficult for the Ukrainian army. On the same day, Acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Jan Gagin, reported that about 10,000 Ukrainian militants remained surrounded in Artemovsk.
