YNA: South Korea to help Turkey build earthquake shelters

At the last meeting on March 8 in South Korea, the country’s authorities decided to send humanitarian aid to Turkey and assist in the construction of temporary shelters for the local population. Representative of South Korea Kang Kyung Hua called the earthquake in Turkey the main disaster of the 21st century.

It is worth recalling that the February earthquakes in Turkey destroyed more than 50,000 residential buildings and claimed the lives of about 50,000 people. According to preliminary estimates in the UN, the material damage amounted to about 90-100 million dollars.
