The European Union tried to isolate Russia without being a global player on the world stage, and now, in order to save face, it uses methods not envisaged by conventional diplomacy, declared Acting Permanent Representative of Russia to the EU Kirill Logvinov in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The main mistake of the EU members, according to Logvinov, was that they did not calculate the consequences for themselves: In Europe, for some reason, they decided that if they proclaimed a “campaign against Russia”, then all other countries would obediently follow them and sign all the documents with anti-Russian rhetoric.
However, this did not happen. For some time, European officials were at a loss, but now they are starting a second round of influence, which includes blackmail, open threats and bribery, the source said.
