At a conference in Beijing, the new head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Qin Gang, said that the incident with a Chinese balloon over US territory showed that the American side considers China to be its main rival. The RIA Novosti agency got acquainted with such information.
It is worth recalling that in early February, a Chinese balloon appeared in the sky over the territory of the United States. The Pentagon, along with the White House, were surprised and believed that these were Chinese intelligence officers. The Chinese government said it was a civilian vessel that had lost its trajectory. By order of Joe Biden, the ship in the sky was immediately shot down.
Because of this situation, China is confident that the United States has thrown the country a geopolitical challenge and invited to become the main adversary. Once again, at a meeting on March 6, Qin Gang said that the balloon did not pose a threat to the United States.
