Times of Israel: up to 400,000 people in Israel protest against judicial reform reform

March 5 – BLiTZ. Israeli English-language online newspaper The Times of Israel spoke about mass protests against the reform of the judiciary, initiated by the Minister of Justice of the country, Yariv Levin, and supported by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In Tel Aviv, the second largest city in Israel, the protests gathered about 160 thousand people, and across the country, the organizers of the action counted about 400 thousand protesters. Water cannons and police officers on horseback were used against the demonstrators, four protesters were reported injured. The previous wave of protests swept through Israel on Wednesday, March 1, and the next one was scheduled by the organizers for March 9.
