Greek Police: Mob throws stones at police at Athens rally, injuring seven

March 5 – BLiTZ. According to the leadership of the Greek police, cited by the agency “RIAN”as a result of riots at a rally in Athens in Greece, seven policemen were injured and five participants in the clashes were arrested.

It is indicated that the rally was organized by a number of trade unions and associations on Syntagma Square near the parliament. About 10 thousand people participated in it. The procession was connected with the railway accident in Tempi, when cargo and passenger trains collided head-on near Larisa, as a result of which 57 people died and dozens were injured.
