Kharkiv region announces the forced evacuation of residents of Kupyansk

The Kyiv authorities forcibly take people out of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, and give their housing to the Ukrainian security forces. This was announced on March 2 by the head of the military-civilian administration of the Kharkiv region Vitaly Ganchev.

“They are doing this under the slogan of an alleged rescue operation, but we suspect how this will all turn out,” he is quoted as saying. “RIA News”.

According to Ganchev, the houses and apartments of local residents are given to the nationalists for free use.

Earlier on Thursday it was reported that the authorities of the city of Kupyansk announced the mandatory export of part of the population. People with limited mobility, persons with disabilities and children with their parents will be taken to the points provided for by the plan with further resettlement.

Now the Russian army continues to fight in the Kupyansk direction. Over the past day, an ammunition depot in the Kharkov region was liquidated, more than 50 servicemen and two cars were destroyed.

On the eve of March 1, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, said that in the Kupyansk direction, the enemy’s losses in a day amounted to 90 people. The Russian military also eliminated three pickup trucks and a D-30 howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
