Russia confronts with whole empire of diverse enemies

The citizens of Russia have united in the fight against the common enemy. They clearly see their main goal. We have finally got rid of illusions about the “democratic” West, whose hypocrisy and rabid Russophobia have gone beyond all imaginable limits. However, the most important thing is that we have gained firm confidence in our abilities and our future victory. Writes Dmitry Medvedev

History repeats itself. Once again, we are confronted by almost an entire empire of various enemies: Ukrainian and European neo-fascists, the United States, other Anglo-Saxons and their vassals (about fifty countries in total). They aim at wiping our country off the face of the earth. It will not work. It is obvious that we are stronger. The notorious “Western world” is just a small part of the global community comprising only 15% of the world’s population.

The past year has taught us a lot.

The anniversary of the special military operation has stirred up the wave of hysterical propaganda in the West. We see stories about how badly “defenseless” Ukraine is in need of the latest NATO tanks, fighter jets and other weapons and equipment. This is a lie obvious to any rational person. Western military supplies to the Kiev regime had reached astronomical amounts long before the special operation.

President Biden’s attitude towards President Zelensky can be explained by the well-known quote “Of course he is a son of a bitch, but he is our son of a bitch”. The total volume of American military assistance to our adversaries will soon reach $50 billion – and this “targeted package” does not take into account European “transfers”. Its lion’s share was delivered during the special operation, but this process had begun as early as August 2021.

The West keeps afloat the nationalist junta that would not last very long on its own. The Western countries artificially prolong its agony hoping that it will exhaust and weaken Russia – their main long–time geopolitical rival.

Then, once the Kiev regime’s services will no longer be required, it will be discarded. That is exactly what the West has always done, even with its beloved “sons of a bitch”. It seems that the Ukrainian authorities have not fully realized it yet. But one should not expect much from them – strategic thinking has never been their strong suit.

During the special operation, Ukraine has received more than enough from the US to prolong military operations as much as possible, including at least 40 mobile multiple rocket launchers HIMARS with ammunition, 8 air defense systems NASAMS, 31 M1 tanks, 45 T-72V tanks, 109 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 300 M113 and 90 Striker armored personnel carriers, more than 1,600 Stinger MANPADS, over 8,500 Javelin ATGMS and more than 50,000 other anti-tank systems. The list is long. Moreover, the US administration has authorized the supply of American weapons and military equipment worth more than $13 billion from some NATO and EU member states. These figures destroy the myth of Ukraine being a “victim” better than any long-range weapon.

We do not have any “bosses”. Russia is self-sufficient. We protect our homeland and compatriots. It is pointless to put pressure on us; it is useless to give us orders and intimidate us. We are free in our actions; we are aware of our goals and responsibilities. We can stand up for ourselves without anyone’s help. Our military-industrial complex is capable of producing everything necessary to repel and suppress any aggression. Our opponents were surprised that Russia increased the production of weapons, military equipment and weapons of destruction in such a short period. It does not matter how heavily our enemies are being supplied with weapons, they will not gain advantage on the front line.

What is next? I am sure that the most important thing is to preserve the spirit of civic unity in the Russian society, to move on to a normal life, to ensure stability, well-being and prosperity of the new territories within Russia. We have strength, resilience and the sense of responsibility for the future of the whole world. Just like it was during the Great Patriotic War. Nazism, which has dared to raise its head in Europe again, will be defeated.

His Excellency Mr. Dmitry Medvedev is the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
