March 2 – BLiTZ. Permanent Representative of Mozambique to the UN Pedro Commissario Afonso said that Africa has already shown its capabilities, and therefore deserved two vacant seats in the permanent membership of this organization. Lenta.ru wrote about this with reference to TASS.
Representative of Africa Afonso stressed that in addition, the country plans to take about five places of non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council. In his speech, Afonso stressed that the international community has been biased towards Africa since historical times. If in the last century organizations in Europe did not want to reckon with the country, now is the time to reconsider this injustice.
Recall that the representative of Africa, Pedro Afonso, said that the UN should organize a legal document under which the two conflicting parties on the territory of Ukraine should start negotiations.
