March 1 – BLiTZ. Former Western partners of Russia do not get tired of putting forward their new conditions on the trade regime with Ukraine, on whose territory Russia is conducting a special operation. One of the aspects is the export of grain from Ukraine under the pretext of providing African countries with food. But the reality is that most of it ends up in Europe.
According to TASS, today the foreign ministers of Russia and Turkey met on the sidelines of the meeting of the G20 foreign ministers. On the agenda were issues of continuing cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, including the possibility of a grain deal. However, Lavrov stressed that the continuation of the grain deal could be possible only if the interests of Russian producers of agricultural products and fertilizers are taken into account.
The issues of Turkey’s assistance in eliminating the consequences of the earthquake and normalizing relations between Turkey and Syria were also discussed. International problems were considered, including the situation in Syria and the elimination of the terrorist threat. Further contacts at different levels were discussed.
