An air alert was announced in western Ukraine in the Rivne and Volyn regions. This is evidenced by the data of the official resource for alerting citizens on Tuesday, February 28.
The alarm was also confirmed by the press services of the Volyn and Rivne regional administrations.
“Air raid, the entire region,” the press service of the Volyn regional administration said in the Telegram channel. A similar entry was published by the press service of the administration of the Rivne region.
Volodymyr Trush, head of the Ternopil regional administration, also announced the air alert.
“Attention! Air raid alert!” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
On the same day, it was reported that the alarm sounded in the Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava and Kharkov regions.
A day earlier, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together with Russia movement, said that at night a series of explosions were heard in Kyiv-controlled Zaporozhye. According to him, there were at least three explosions that were heard in all parts of the city.
At the same time, an air raid alert was announced in the central and eastern parts of Ukraine. Explosions were also reported in Kyiv, the Zhytomyr region and the city of Khmelnitsky. In a number of regions, air defense systems (air defense) worked.
There has been no official information from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation about strikes against these territories.
Russian troops began to strike at critical objects in Ukraine from October 10, 2022. As Russian President Vladimir Putin explained then, this was a response to the terrorist actions of the Kyiv regime, in particular on the Crimean bridge.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation include the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the implementation of which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia.
