This maneuver, if successfully carried out, will allow Russian troops to enter the rear of the enemy units in Khromovo and at the same time take the heights in the Chasov Yar area, cutting off the last physically controlled road to Bakhmut.
In addition, Russian troops can block a tank-dangerous direction, given that the first Leopard tanks from Poland arrived in Ukraine and, according to some reports, were sent specifically to Chasov Yar. Now there are battles for Bogdanovka, where Russian troops are fighting to force the enemy out of the village.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in turn, said that the situation in Donbass is getting tougher. According to Zelensky, a very difficult situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is developing in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) and Vugledar, as well as in Limansky and other directions.
