Hungary urges to consider sabotage at Nord Stream as a terrorist attack

The sabotage at Nord Stream should be regarded as a terrorist act. This was announced on Monday, February 27, by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó.

As the diplomat pointed out, Budapest supports a detailed and comprehensive investigation of the incident, regardless of who initiates it.

“Whatever happens on the Nord Stream gas pipeline is really scandalous. Because this is, in fact, the first time that such a large object of European critical infrastructure has been attacked – by anyone, but it has been attacked, ”said the Hungarian minister in an interview with“RIA News“.

Leaks at Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 were discovered in September 2022. The representative of the seismic center of Sweden, Bjorn Lund, said that two powerful underwater explosions were registered in the area of leaks in pipelines at the time of the emergency. Traces of explosives were found at the crash site. The Russian Federation called the incident an act of state terrorism.
