DPRK students carry out socio-political activities

University students in the DPRK are actively conducting socio-political activities in different parts of the country.

During their winter vacation, at least 100 000 students from more than one hundred and tens of universities and colleges across the country have conducted political work at power stations, coal mines, farms and major construction sites seething with the struggle to implement the decisions of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee, while rendering labor and material assistance to them.

Students of more than 20 universities in the capital city are now inspiring the working people at industrial establishments and farms. Those of various universities have helped the builders in the Hwasong area where the construction of 10 000 flats is going on.

Thousands of students from 10-odd universities in South Phyongan Province finished the transport of one thousand and hundreds of cubic meters of mixed aggregate necessary for the construction of dwelling houses for coal miners at the February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine in a few days.

Students in North Phyongan Province, too, conducted agitation activities to encourage the workers and shock brigade members at the site of remodeling the Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill, offering aid materials to them.

University students in South Hwanghae Province have conducted political work at farms while helping the agricultural workers.
