Following floating of a political party named ‘Bangladesh Gono Odhikar Parishad’, Nurul Haq Nur alias VP Nur is now visiting several Middle Eastern nations with the target of collecting fund for “boosting” anti-government activities with the ulterior agenda of unseating democratically elected government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Meanwhile, Nur, Member Secretary of Bangladesh Gono Odhikar Parishad’ (Bangladesh People’s Rights Council) and former Vice President of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) has been accused of spreading rumors against several ministers, lawmakers and law enforcement agencies in Bangladesh. It is learnt that Nurul Haq Nur recently visited Qatar, wherefrom he went to Dubai and met a businessman who fled Bangladesh after embezzling a huge amount of money from banks. During this secret meeting, the fleeing bank fraud handed an amount equivalent to US$250,000 to Nur for expediting anti-government movement. An eye-witness told this correspondent, at the end of the meeting, the cash was handed to Nurul Haq Nur in a black-color bag. Immediately after the meeting and receipt of cash, Nur came on Facebook Live and made false and provocative statements. It is also learnt, from Dubai, Nur went to Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah.

After analyzing Nurul Haq Nur’s Facebook Live, it has been found that on his way from Dubai to Jeddah, he issued a 18-minute video statement on December 29, 2022 where Nur raised false allegations against the Awami League government’s ministers, lawmakers and law enforcement agencies. Referring to his trip to Dubai, Nur claimed on Facebook Live, “The MP-ministers of this government have invested black money in Dubai and built a second home”. Naming a minister Nur said, “He has investment worth thousands of crores of takas in here [Dubai]”.

He said, “I have seen buildings of the same color and same design in one place. There are videos, there are documents. Detailed documents will be published”.

Nurul Haq Nur claimed that there are many such people who have illegally invested money and made hotel-shopping malls. He said, “I have received information about 20 people. Thousands of crores of takas have been smuggled here. We have to protest about them. Already their foundations have been shaken. Once people’s upsurge begins, make sure they cannot don’t the country”.

Meanwhile, many people are protesting on social media after Nur’s Facebook Live video containing false information was spread. Many have also demanded his trial for spreading false information. A person named Rashedul Islam Russell wrote on his Facebook: “No one can buy land in Dubai while visiting. The minister against whom Nur is spreading lies has not visited Dubai in the last 10 years. Once he was at Dubai airport for a transit for only 8 hours. But Nur is spreading lies and rumors”.

In the same video Nur made threatening remarks against members of the law enforcement agencies and criticized them for their ongoing drive against militancy.

VP Nur meets fake Mossad agent Mendi N Safadi

According to a credible source, during his Dubai visit, Nurul Huq Nur held secret meeting with an individual named Mendi N. Safadi, who falsely claims to be a Mossad agent and leader of Israeli Likud Party. One source said, this meeting was arranged at the advise of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader Aslam Chowdhury, while according to another source, the meeting between VP Nur and Mendi N Safadi has been arranged by a controversial professor in Bangladesh who openly claims to be working for Mossad. Back in 2012, this professor secretly visited Israel via Nepal, met some officials in Tel Aviv and expressed his willingness of becoming a Mossad agent in Bangladesh.

According to the source, during the meeting, VP Nur requested Mendi N Safadi for extending help from Israel for unseating Awami League government and help “Bangladeshi nationalist forces” in returning to power. VP Nur also said, once Awami League is ousted and a government led by “Bangladeshi nationalist forces” return to power, Bangladesh will establish “full diplomatic relations with Israel”. In response, Mendi N Safadi reportedly claimed a large amount of cash as “lobbyist fees”.

It may be mentioned here that, Mendi N Safadi was running a fraudulent organization named ‘World Hindu Struggle Committee’ with an individual named Shipan Kumer Basu and his wife Sabita Rani Basu. For many years, Shipan Kumer Basu and his wife Sabita Biswas Basu are engaged in extorting various individuals in Bangladesh and India by pretending as the authorized representatives of various organizations and governments, including Israel.

Shipan Kumer Basu, president of a scam racket named ‘World Hindu Struggle Committee’ and few of his cohorts including Prasanna Kumar Roy and Mendi N Safadi are under radar of Indian intelligence agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). According to media reports, Shipan Kumer Basus’ name surfaced as one of the key handlers of West Bengal’s SSC scam. The report said, Shipan Kumer Basu was one of the main cohorts of an individual named Prasanna Kumar Roy, who is a nephew of Partha Chatterjee, leader of West Bengal’s Trinamool Congress and a junior minister. Because of extreme intimacy and possible financial links between Shipan Kumer Basu and Prasanna Kumar Roy, Basu gave the position of ‘Chief Financial Advisor’ in his scam racket named ‘World Hindu Struggle Committee.

On June 23, 2020, Shipan Kumer basu, kingpin of a scandalous organization named World Hindu Struggle Committee (WHSC) made a false claim stating he was “in prison for raising the voice for Hindu rights”. According to a report published in the Newse website, WHSC said: “Our President, Mr. Shipan Kumar Basu had been in Prison for raising the voice for Hindu rights and our struggle continued. Our war against Jihadi Muslims is non-compromising and has saved hundreds of innocent lives”.

According to our investigation, it was proved, Shipan Kumer Basu has never been imprisoned in Bangladesh, as he fled the country in 2016 when sedition charges were brought against him along with Mendi N Safadi and BNP leader Aslam Chowdhury. There is no reason for Shipan Kumer Basu of being imprisoned in India for “raising the voice for Hindu rights”. This specific claim also clearly proves, Shipan Kumer Basu is a Bangladeshi citizen.

Regarding receiving dark-money from various individuals in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, Nur said, “I have come to this and will certainly collect fund. There is no hide and seek. I am stating clearly – (I am) collecting fund”. Nur also refused to declare the amount of dark-money he has received from various dubious individuals and sources in the Middle Eastern countries.
