Located inside ‘Fortune Grand Hotel’ in Muteena (Deira), B52 Discotheque has already emerged as the epicenter of prostitutes from various nations, including Filipinas, Ukrainians, Uzbek, Indians, Pakistanis, Lebanese, Egyptians, and even Bangladeshis, while according to an Indian website named  The Eastern Herald, this discotheque offers girls for sex at a very low price. Despite the fact that prostitution is illegal in the United Arab Emirates, including Dubai, law enforcers turn blind eye on such activities inside hotels and massage parlors.

The club offers sex workers for AED (UAE Dirham) 500 to AED 1500 to its customers, while it also helps the customers in the booking rooms at Fortune Grand Hotel or nearby cheaper hotels and secret guest houses.

While most of the nightclubs and discotheques in Dubai requires an entry fee for the visitors, B52 Discotheque does not ask for entry fees. For this reason, this nightclub, which actually is almost a private brothel has become popular within Indians and Pakistanis in particular. Every evening dozens of sex workers gather into this place in search of clients. It is also alleged that owners of B52 Discotheque are maintaining connections with transnational trafficking and prostitution rackets, while they supply sex workers to several brothels in the western countries.

According to another source, in addition to offering sex workers to customers, B2 Discotheque owners also sell drugs, such as amphetamine to prospective buyers, while it also maintains a “home delivery” service of drug and “escort service”.

The newspaper also said, although management of the ‘Fortune Grand Hotel’ denies activities of sex workers inside B2 Discotheque, it is impossible for the nightclub to run such massive activities of sex workers beyond their knowledge.

The Eastern Herald also claims that its reporter has surveilled and found that Fortune Grand Hotel stops providing online booking of rooms after 6 pm, while anyone willing to find a room in the hotel needs to pay 3-4 times higher charges as the hotel mainly is crowded with customers, who look for a room to spend night with sex worker.

One of the most alarming information about B2 Discotheque is, most of the sex workers working in that place are in Dubai on visit visa. Mostly these sex workers arrive in Dubai on 3-months visit visa and leave the country on expiry of the visa and re-enter with fresh visa. Some of these sex workers make 3-4 trips every year to Dubai.

It is also alleged that while each of the sex workers, on an average earn AED 25,000 per month, some of them are exploited by the B2 Discotheque authorities and “treated like trash”. Even the sex workers complain about the owners of B2 Discotheque of robbing-off major segment of their earning, and whenever any sex worker confronts such actions, they are being blackmailed by the club authorities.

Tripadvisor branded B2 Discotheque as “disco for prostitutes”. A customer of this discotheque said: “We were the hotel guest in which the B2 Discotheque is. But they changed us as same as others, it was too crowded and one shot of vodka cost me 70 dirhams! There were all kinds of prostitutes all over me and didn’t let me have fun. There were no seats to sit and if there was a vacant seat, the manager didn’t let us sit unless we pay a great deal of money! My advice: Don’t go! You can find way better discos with that amount of money!”

Another person, who visited the B2 Discotheque wrote: “We arrived and there were 2 girls at the entry collecting entry fees. We asked them nicely how much it would cost per person. But the one seated, Asian looking girl, looked down on me, typed the equivalence of €500 (a bit more than 2,000 AED) on her calculator and showed it to me, chewing her gum like a “ratchet”… While I was standing in front of her, shocked and speechless, my friend standing behind me, a man and a lady paid only 200 AED right in front of me and went in. It seems, this discotheque is cheating foreigners”.

According to an English daily published from Dhaka (Bangladesh), in May 2019, four underage Bangladeshi girls forced into prostitution were rescued from B2 Discotheque nightclub in Deira by police. The victims, aged between 16 and 17, were taken to the United Arab Emirates in 2018 to work as dancers while later they were forced into prostitution.
